A trailer truck collision on a Chonburi motorway left one driver slightly injured.
The accident occurred at 10:16 PM on August 27th, 2024. The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Center received a report of a collision between two 18-wheelers on a motorway in the Takhian Tia sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. Rescue and fire services immediately went to the scene.
There, a trailer truck carrying a container was found severely damaged. The truck’s cab was detached, and a gas tank was dislodged. The driver, whose name was not revealed to the press, managed to crawl out of the wreckage and was given first aid by rescue personnel before being transported to the hospital. He sustained only minor injuries.
The other vehicle involved, an 18-wheeler carrying plastic pellets, also sustained damage. The driver, Mr. Utsa Wannuea, 66, was waiting at the scene to provide a statement to the police. He was uninjured.
Mr. Utsa claimed that he was driving normally when his container truck suddenly struck the cab of another truck, which was parked on the roadside. After the collision, he immediately pulled over and called the authorities for assistance.
Police are investigating the incident to determine who is at fault.
