Chonburi —
In a shocking incident that unfolded on November 25th, two Thai individuals sustained gunshot wounds following an altercation involving a makeshift firearm.
The incident occurred at a rental room in the Khao Mai Kaew area of Banglamung district, Chonburi province. At around 11:00 PM, Pol. Lt. Prakasit Pladech, an investigator from Huay Yai Police Station, received a report of a shooting at the aforementioned location and rushed to the scene along with a team of rescue workers.
Upon arriving at the rental room, authorities discovered two injured individuals, identified as Mr. Nattapong Sitthi-nongku, 33, and Mr. Samai Nuchthien, 39. Mr. Nattapong had sustained a gunshot wound to the back, while Mr. Samai had been shot in the right elbow. Both individuals were provided initial medical treatment by rescue personnel before being urgently transported to the hospital.
Through preliminary investigations, Pol. Lt. Prakasit determined that the shooter was the younger brother of the injured individuals’ friend. According to Mr. Kittisak Wongsutha, a 32-year-old eyewitness to the incident, the suspect’s older brother had engaged in a heated argument with the injured parties, which escalated into a physical fight.
The older brother was outmatched by the victims, so he ran away to seek support from his brother. They both then returned for revenge, and the brother shot the two victims with a homemade shotgun, Mr. Kittisak said.
Initially, Pol. Lt. Prakasit has withheld the name of the suspects for investigation purposes. The authorities are currently pursuing them for legal action.
