Pattaya, September 7th, 2024–
The Pattaya Indian Association, under the leadership of President Mr. Lakshman Singh, in collaboration with Indothai News, organized the vibrant and spiritually significant Ganesh Chaturthi celebration for the second consecutive year at the multipurpose area on Pattaya Beach.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. Poramese Ngampiches, Mayor of Pattaya City, who delegated Lt. Col. Chanyut Yangpreeda, a member of the Pattaya City Mayor’s team, to represent him.
The event provided an opportunity for devotees to pay homage to Lord Ganesh and celebrate this important cultural festival, which promotes unity, spiritual connection, and cultural pride. Prayers for prosperity, health, and unity were offered, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere with many participants.
Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as the birthday of Lord Ganesh, is believed to be a time when the deity descends to the human world to bestow blessings, good luck, clear debts, and offer assistance. This annual festival is a significant event, and the Pattaya Indian Association chose the iconic Pattaya seaside area as the venue for the celebration.
In addition, Indian businessmen, led by Mr. Naveen Arora, an executive of the Nashaa Group, set up a charity kitchen offering more than 10 vegetarian dishes to attendees, including Thai and foreign tourists. The food was provided free of charge, adding to the sense of community and goodwill during this sacred ceremony.
