Pattaya– On August 26th, 2024, the Mayor of Pattaya City Poramese Ngampiches presided over the opening ceremony of the National Youth Day activity project for the fiscal year 2024.
The event, held at Le Bali Resort & Spa, saw the participation of the President of the Pattaya City Council, council members, directors of educational institutions under the city’s supervision, and student councils from all 11 schools in Pattaya.
Youth are recognized as a powerful group capable of driving activities that benefit the country’s future development. The Mayor emphasized the importance of youth understanding their value, uniting for the public good, and embodying morality, ethics, and intelligence to contribute positively to society and lead the country towards prosperity.
The Children and Youth Activities Division of the Office of Education, Pattaya City, organized this project to highlight the significance of self-development among children and youth. The aim is to nurture potential leaders who are strong, courageous, and expressive in positive ways, dedicated to public service, and who prioritize the public interest over personal gain.
The training featured esteemed expert speakers who provided insights on various topics, including:
– **Integrating from ME to WE: We are the Children and Youth Council of the City**
– **COUNTRY MOVE: Pattaya City from the Perspective of Youth**
– **ACTIVE YOUTH: Proposals for the Development of Pattaya City**
Participants, including 270 student council members from 11 schools, engaged in discussions to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of Pattaya City and proposed ideas for its development. The knowledge gained from this training is expected to help these young leaders develop themselves, work systematically, and contribute effectively to the nation’s progress.
