Pattaya —
Pattaya police are searching for a Thai motorcyclist, believed to be a delivery rider, who performed a dangerous wheelie in a Pattaya Central Road bypass tunnel.
A video, which is currently going viral on Thai social media, was initially posted on TikTok by a user named “Ke Roro.” The video is captioned, “When a customer says they’re hungry.”
The 26-second clip shows the rider, dressed in the uniform of a delivery company, performing a wheelie while speeding through the underpass located on Central-Sukhumvit Road. Motorcycles and bicycles are prohibited from using the tunnel, as clearly marked at both entrances.
Upon learning of the incident, Pol. Col. Nawin Theerawit, Chief of Pattaya Police Station, told The Pattaya News that riding a motorcycle in the tunnel and performing such a stunt are illegal. He has instructed his subordinates to investigate the matter and take legal action against the rider, who has not yet been identified at the time of publishing.
In June of this year, another motorbike rider in Pattaya surrendered after a viral video taken in the same tunnel.
